Default Change and Adapt, to do or not...

3 months after the MM nerf outrage, and before that the AoE AI update and many more updates before that, another patch has caused an uproar in the GW population.

And as always, post after post of "change and adapt" pops up everywhere in response to the negative outrage.

Shouldn't a line be drawn somewhere? Because seriously, even if the warrior's armor is cut in half he can still survive with dolyak sig + mass enchants. And the "change and adapt' chant is still valid...

But with every person that actually did adapt, one would probably leave the game. Many would say "good, its better if you leave", but is that what we really want? Getting more and more people to leave? I can just imagine people starting to complaining about low population and people would say "change and adapt, play with henchies only in PvE and PvP"

Joking aside, I really think people need to be more "middle-ground" and actually think whether the patches are reasonable or not, instead of just blindly defending or complaining about ANET.

Maybe then we can actually have a decent discussion about patches...

/End whining (or argument depends on who reads this)

I like the new update, now I can BBQ wammos!

Hehehe... looks like ritualists won't be short on ashes for a looonnngg timmee. They need to make a new skill called empty urn for all the wammos that are about to be baked by us elementalist who have been left in the shadow of ignarance for so long.

Arise my elementalist friends! It is now time for vengence! The great trogdor...erm rodgort has spoken! He says...

BURNINATE THE PEOPLES!!!!

Anyway let's hunt those wammos don't and kick them while they are down with our leet elemental skills that knights armor no longer protects them against. I heard theres some giant wammo strike going on... why don't we start there?

LF 1000 more echo nukers/starbursters for tank farming add self!!

are people still looking for 'nukers' in their groups?
are people still looking for 'MMs' in their groups?

after every skill change, you have the raging pve player coming on, making his 1st post in months to let everyone know he's upset, holding his breath till he gets what he wants and throwing his toys out of his pram. we get the pattern already.

The update is fine. Warriors will nto go extinct, or for that matter, lose any popularity because of it whatsoever. You can teach a monkey to tank, and thats the only thing is REALLY affects.

Minion Masters still trivialize most PvE and the AoE nerf patch also pretty reasonable considering how sick AoEs were, whether soloing or grouping AoEs were good at ruining herds of monsters.

Where they harsh patches? Sure. Game breaking? Absolutely not.

I feel the same regarding the Warrior patch.

These "deal with it" people are getting really disgusting. Bunch of friggin cowards. Seriously, it's their answer to everything.

-Don't like an update?: "deal with it."
-Think a boss is overpowered, and is?: "deal with it."
-Tired of people treating you like crap in game?: "deal with it."
-Keep getting scammed so you try and motivate the community?: "deal with it."
-Thin a particular aspect of the game in general or anything at all needs a change or fix?: "deal with it."

Frankly, screw talking, I want these people to just shut the heck up already. They don't say anything else, it's like they're braindead and devoid of all feeling. I swear, I could probably pluck the eyes out of one of them and their only response would be: "deal with it."

However, I would like the community to be able to vote on important game changes like what happened. That way A.Net would have never done such rediculously stupid thing and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

since I've been taking my warrior into aspenwood/quarry in place of my necro, I still don't take that much damage from eles, thought it's fun to chase them around till the juggernaut comes over for a go<.<

Community vote on it? The majority of the community can't even do better than henchmen, let alone understand game mechanics and balance. If the community had the vote on big issues, max level would be 476957439687, the highest costing energy skill would be 5, you would be able to solo anything in the game, and anytime you killed a monster it would drop 10k.

THe thing that pisses me off is, they took SO DAMN LONG to change this. I used to think you needed all pieces for it to reduce damage. Learned it waswrong, bought 15k armor. THEN AFTER THAT, they decide to change it... Thats retarded.

did the AOE nerf require you to lose 100k in armor? no
did the MM nerf require you to lose 100k in armor? no

It was pretty ridiculous that only one piece provided damage reduction the entire body.

It became even more ridiculous when it became common knowledge and taken for granted.

I do agree they should have fixed how damage reduction worked about... 3 Anet "soons" ago. (IE: Shortly after Prophecies first came out)

oh i am loving this,
i can compere this to sequals of other games,
at the press release of a game one of thier favorite phrases is
"were listeniing to the fans"
why?
are the fans of the game professinal game devs?
no?
well then A-net has the right not listen to every ten year old who wants the lvl cap raised high than there own height, every person who thinks that to Buff/Nerf "enter named skill here" would be a good idea.
granted there are people who play this game and actually now a thing or two about how it works.
but at the end if the day its anet who decide what is and isn't done, regarding game play balence.
if u don't like it,
u can stop playing this subscrtion free game,
or u can deal with it.

Exactly, It only made sense to wear one piece then. Now it has turned to a waste.

EDIT: in response to 2 posts up

Things wrong with your post:
Flame.
Remarking on fellow players stupidity when no proof that you do not henchway missions.
Misunderstanding of community.

Have you ever even talked to these people? Most of them understand why level 20 is cap, why conjure nightmare costs 25 energy, why you need team builds, and why money does not drop always for you.
I can give you the one best example I have seen tonight. I had finished GvG for the night with my guild, and a few of us and a member of the alliance decided to kill Rotscale. We started out, and slowly fought our way to majesty's rest. After getting there, we made our way to rotscale. My guildie bought us 10% morale, and the +25 max health and +3 health regen. We lured, and killed many of the glitched monks and archers. Finally, we took on rotscale himself. We spent well over 30 minutes slowly killing him. When his bar was below the level 30 part, we made an agreement. Seeing as I thought the bow still sold for 100k, we decided whoever got it would sell it, and we each would recieve 30k. However, when it dropped for our alliance member, he equipped it, said meh, okay skin, then handed it to my guildie. He found out it was only worth 30k, so we sold it, each got 10k, and recieved faith in people you don't know, faith in other players, and faith in patience.
